OPEN POSITION

Assistant Commercial Underwriter

Position Summary:

Support Commercial Underwriters in all aspects of their duties & responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a strong customer focus through understanding the customer's needs and expectations while implementing Company's service standards
Examine and evaluate documents such as insurance applications, inspection reports, MVRs, financial reports, claim history and any other pertinent information
Issue/type insurance policies
Process endorsements
Assist with various projects as requested by underwriter and/or management
Performs other clerical duties as assigned
Develop a strong understanding of insurance concepts and coverages

Qualifications:

5+ years related insurance experience
Strong skills in navigating and working with web based products
Experience with industry specific applications such as AIM (Agency Information Manager) and PolicyRater (Rackley) is desirable
Ability to multi-task; work on multiple accounts at one time
Ability to stay organized and work efficiently as a team member
